Yet another gorgeous day that further reinforces the decision to sell everything and live life as a Digital Nomad for a spell. We’re staying at our good friend and financial advisor’s rental townhome in Savannah for a few days, and once you’ve exhausted the few tourist opportunities inside Savannah, it makes for a great launching pad to visit the other local attractions – Tybee Island, Hilton Head, etc.
After a day spent inside avoiding the heat and humidity and wrapping up the work week, it’s playtime. We drove out to Tybee Island to enjoy the sand, salt air, and get some exercise.
I remarked to Colette on the drive that we dipped our toes in 3 of the 5 Great Lakes last week – Superior at Whitefish Point, Huron at Mackinac Island, and Michigan at the Sleeping Bear Dunes. And now a few days later, we’re wading in the Atlantic and we’ll both be in Seattle next week and can dip our toes in the Pacific. That’s a lot of water in a short time!
Great photo ops, a good opportunity to ride our bikes on the beach, and a great sunset with a huge pod of dolphins certainly provide a drastic change from the Deep South feel of Savannah with it’s squares, huge old trees and spanish moss everywhere. Once again, this really doesn’t suck.
