It’s surprising that with all of our travels together and individually that neither of us have ever been to Portland.
Even on this trip it wasn’t terribly high on our list due to all of the news about how the city has degraded rapidly over the last few years.
But – we must Go See Do, and if there are things to be seen we must see them.
Homeless people everywhere. Drugged out people everywhere, needles and other paraphernalia everywhere. Not a cop in sight – how’s that ‘defund the police’ working? Trash everywhere.
Nice green spaces, nice highrises, but the ‘normalize weirdness’ crowd has turned this entire city into a complete dump.
Short on writeup, short on photos – because we didn’t linger longer than necessary to see the must-dos and get out of town.
Highly do not recommend.
