Another quirky “biggest” – the world’s largest floating loon.
When you’re trying to attract the tourist dollar, you think up whatever you can.
We noticed the World’s Largest Floating Loon pushpin on Google Maps as we were looking for a place to do a morning walk. Apparently there are some big non-floating loons around, so they’ve added “floating loon”.
Since there’s a nice park around the lake where it’s floating, it’s a perfect stop.
The town of Virginia Minnesota has some interesting history around the old sawmill and a few nice areas, but also a lot of areas that are well past their prime.
Worth seeing? Probably not, unless you’re on a mission to see every quirky thing out there.
