For a brief moment I thought about doing a year-in-review type post. Thinking about the past year – traveling coast to coast with several zig-zags in-between – I quickly dismissed that idea as too daunting. Jim started to create a push-pin map of just the past few months and it looked like an unintelligible skein of yarn.
So as I sit here this morning, filled with gratitude for all the things we’ve seen, experiences we’ve tasted, and people we’ve met, the word “simple” comes to mind. Simplicity is what we’ve been aiming for in our gypsies-with-jobs lifestyle, so this new year’s message is simple (and borrowed from author Sarah Ban Breathnach):
Open your arms as wide as you can to receive all the miracles with your name on them. And never forget that all you have is all you need.
Thank you to all of you who travel this journey with us. May you have a year filled with big and small miracles. Happy New Year!
