Another gorgeous day sailing out of the San Diego Harbor into the Pacific in search of whales and dolphins, this time aboard Captain Guy’s 60’ 1929 schooner, the Allure. Originally owned by Johnny Weissmuller of Tarzan fame in the 1930’s, he would routinely race her to Catalina Island against the likes of Humphrey Bogart and Errol Flynn. We got sunshine, sailing, and some history lessons all in one – not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
Happy Cap’n
I’m not sure what Hank ate, but it looks like digestive problems are afoot.

Crew Shot
Today’s sailing crew aboard the Allure. What a gorgeous day for a sail! Thanks to Captain Guy for the opportunity to get out and watch some water pass while enjoying the California sunshine.

Very nice! I thought you said it was cold? Doesn’t look that cold to me 🙂
It was terribly chilly, don’t think it broke 70 degrees all day long!
