We set our alarms for 3:30am to make it out of the Burnt Store Marina channel at high tide. Amazing sailing under a starlit sky, then watching the sun slowly rise over Charlotte Harbor. Running at 6-7 knots we made good time and settled at anchor at Cabbage Key after only 2 and a half hours under sail. A great RnR day at anchor with an amazing impromptu meal "thrown together" by the captain. A fiery sunset and then a fun evening taking low-light photos of the sky, the ship, and the crew.

Starlit Sky

Starlit Sky
7 knots with just the jib up under a starlit sky. No sounds except the wind whistling through the rigging and the waves slapping against the hull. Great way to spend an oh-dark-thirty Thanksgiving morning.

Rigging

Rigging
The massive amount of rigging on JP’s 43 Endeavor is very apparent in the spreader lights.

Here and There
It’s hard to believe that these pictures were taken in the pitch dark, with only the light of the moon and some stars for illumination.
