Shoshone Falls is one of several falls in Twin Falls Idaho, and at 212 feet tall is 45 feet taller than Niagara Falls.
The waterfall ledge is over a thousand feet wide, and can flow over 20,000 cubic feet of water per second in wet years.
The falls are also next to the site of Evil Knievel’s unsuccessful 1974 attempt to jump the snake river on a rocket-powered motorcycle, floating to the bottom of the canyon and only suffering a broken nose after his parachute deployed prematurely.
