Since we love nontraditional holidays – why not a hike in the Park?
We figured that crowds would be low, so we would knock out 10,000ft Deer Mountain – a very popular hike that normally would be very crowded.
The crowds were indeed sparse, with maybe 7 or 8 other couples with the same idea sharing the mountain with us.
The warm sunny side of the peak made a great spot to video chat with the family and have a nontraditional meal to go with the nontraditional day.
Colette even remembered to clip a few bows on her pack for some Christmas cheer!
