It’s not easy to get to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, but it’s definitely worth the trip!
100 miles southwest of Tucson and bordering Mexico to the south, it’s not somewhere that you just happen to pass during your travels.
Boasting the United States collection of Organ Pipe Cactus, the National Monument also contains several campgrounds, several scenic drives, and some great backcountry hiking.
We opted for the Bull Pasture Trail, and were very pleased to only see one other small group of hikers midway through our trip. The signs warn of potential drug and people smuggling, but we kept our eyes peeled and saw nothing out of the ordinary.
