Big enough to have a train station, but still small enough to have old-world Bavarian charm!
Nestled among towering peaks, you can choose to spend your time shopping and dining, or you can get out and hit the trails as most people do.
Miles and miles of hiking and biking trials lead you between villages in the valley, you can pick something more spirited in the mountains, or you can catch one of the many lifts to the mountaintops for alpine enjoyment.
We spent as much of our time as possible outside, despite the cold temps and spotty rain. Day trips up to the Fellhorn, rainy walks to the charming little village of Einodsbach, and a hike up the amazing Breitachklamm gorge.
Oberstdorf certainly has something for everybody!
