There’s Litomysl Czechia, and Litomysl Minnesota.
You can probably guess where the residents of the second one came from…
Having been to Litomysl Minnesota for the summer festival, I have to cast my vote for the original being the better of the two.
Classic European architecture, the mandatory grandiose churches, a UNESCO world heritage site castle, and a food festival to top it off.
We definintely made the most of the day, and enjoyed our time wandering about aimlessly.
Sorry
I love this little sticker on an old 2CV Citroen in Litomysl! We needed something like this for the Jeep!

City Full of Citroens

Window to the World
A window in the middle of the forest. When the ivy covers your house so much that you can barely open your windows, you have properly blended into the environment.
Family Nonsense
This photo only makes sense to a few family members, the rest of you can disregard.
Hand Etched
We saw another building being refinished, and we noticed that every single one of these bricks is hand etched and painted. That’s a crazy amount of work, but it definitely looks cool!
The Club
If you’re going to build a small clubhouse, you need to give it a huge name like Piarist Church of the Discovery of the Holy Cross.
Litomysl Castle
While not very castle-y in our book, it’s definitely an impressive peice of architecture.
Ding Dong
The patina on this statue’s private parts has been worn shiny from years of tourists posing for indecent photos.
Deferred Maintenance
In the United States they purposefully give some buildings the retro look, here they just have the deferred maintenance program that created the retro styling craze.
