We put Landsberg am Lech on our map strictly because it was a small town between Augsburg and Fussen.
And we’re so glad that we did!
Even though Fussen fell off our list for this weekend due to time, Landsberg was one of those hidden gems that we wouldn’t have found otherwise.
Sitting on the Lech river, with a picturesque cascading waterfall right in the center of town, it has a classic quiet charm.
The streets roll up around 8pm, but that’s perfect for those of us who just want a quiet little town to enjoy, without the tourist hordes.
Tomorrow we catch an early train (well, 3 trains in a row) to get on a ship to explore Lake Ammersee – so we welcome the early night!
