Lake Bled is the Tahoe of Europe.
Slovenia, and Lake Bled in particular were never on our Go-See-Do list until I heard people in my unit here raving about it. Some research, and it quickly bubbled up to the top of the list!
Turquoise water, lots of hikes in the surrounding mountains, and cheap cheap cheap – certainly on the return list!

Here is a quick clip straight out of the drone, someday I’ll have the time to edit all the drone footage I’ve got, but this at least gives a perspective of just how turqouise the water is here!

The church on Bled Island is THE shot for Slovenia tourism. This country seriously needs some better marketing.

Rolling In

Rolling In
We had crazy mixed weather, from beautiful blue skies and turquoise water to torrential downpours. I love castle photos with the ‘dark and stormy’ theme though!

The Hearts

The Hearts
There’s always a hand heart photo for Colette’s great-niece Kodi.

A shot of the island from the Ojstrica peak nearby. We had planned on a 3-peak hike but it started seriously dumping and we called it after 1.
