Koper is a quick stop on our trip from Lake Bled to Piran.
We knew it would be a short stop, but since it was also just a short tour we thought it would be nice to see a little more of Slovenia’s seaside. As the fifth-largest city in Slovenia, it is also the largest coastal city.
Turquoise Mediterranean water, classic Med architecture, and a delightful stroll for an hour or two – why not!
The Colors
Turquoise blue water and orange mediterranean roofs go well with the splashes of red from the highrise and the fire boat.
Boat Boat Boat Boat
Marina Life
Modern boats sit in front of the ancient Taverna building in Koper’s harbor.
Take a Bow
The "Mediterranean Moor" where boats use their anchor out front is very weird to us American sailors.
Masked Man
Taking the Covid facemask to the extreme.
Koprski Harlem
I’m guessing that some graffiti artist thinks this area is the Koper ghetto, but we must have missed that part as we strolled through.
