For the first spot on our Lake Constance (Bodensee in German) trip, we stayed on the south side of the lake in Berlingen Switzerland.
While staying right in Konstanz would have been more convenient to the sights, we wanted peace and quiet and to be a little farther away from all the tourists!
But we still made our trips into town, and of course, onto the water.
You can rent small paddleboats right at the marina, and they make a great way to relax for an hour or two out on the clear blue water of the lake.
Tomorrow we hop on a ferry to Meersburg and then head our way north!
