After a last minute trip to Louisiana for a family emergency, we’re finally back to some semblance of normalcy.
We discovered that it’s very hard to find short term RV storage in the San Diego at the last minute, but our friend Dan’s brother Jim and sister-in-law Penny were kind enough to let us park Big Haus at their home while we were out of town. Hopefully we’ll have some opportunity to repay their kindness in the future!
Southern California is in our rear view mirror, but the trip was far from expectations, with 40pmh gusts and a blizzard in the Tejon Pass between Los Angeles and Bakersfield. Not terribly fun, but without incident and always a good learning experience!
Finally in the Central Valley, and we pulled into the Kern River Campground. A nice little County Campground on the edge of the Kern River, and we have the entire place to ourselves – nice!
