We wondered why anybody would schedule a "hike" through vineyards in the middle of winter.
Now we know why!
If you put tents with heaters, wine, awesome food, and friendly people in the middle of nowhere – people will come. The genius marketing folks in Freinsheim have figured this out!
We thoroughly enjoyed this experience despite the cold, grey misty weather. Every single person we met was happy and friendly. A few locals seated next to us in a tent saw us gnawing on our "pork chop on a bun" and pulled out a knife from their utensil kit (they were obviously experienced) and shared it with us.
One of the many, many ways to break up dreary German winters!

This is pure goodness! After our first experience, we were salivating over the thought that there may be one of these here!

Amazing having music-themed art out in the middle of nowhere in these vineyards.
