Einodsbach is listed as "the charming little village at the end of the road", so of course we had to go there!
A quick ride on a city bus, and then a mile and half walk in the rain and we found – a charming little village at the end of the road!
Although the village itself was kinda meh after seeing village after village here, the fall colors are out in full force and the rain keeps most of the other tourists back in the shopping district in Oberstdorf!

We had planned to eat our lunch somewhere around Einodsbach, but there were no dry places to stop. We had spied this concrete rock barrier on the road up, and it worked perfectly – lunch with a view!
