The Decalibron hike – Mount Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, and Bross – all in one short loop. 7.5 miles with about 3,000 feet of elevation gain from the Kite Lake trailhead.
This one of Colorado’s more popular 14er routes since you knock out 4 peaks (technically Cameron is unranked because it’s saddle doesn’t drop enough for proper elevation gain) in a relatively short time, and you stay at altitude the entire time instead of a huge jump in ups-and-downs.
This was a fun one for me since it was close to our hotel in Breckenridge and I brought weather-appropriate attire.
