Creux du Van is a cirque, an amphitheatre-like valley formed by glacial erosion.
As we were looking for outdoor opportunities along our route we saw it on the map and decided to make the detour.
When we arrived, we were completely clouded in, but Mother Nature shined on us (literally) and we were able to enjoy the full view of the surrounding area.
Daisies
Beautiful wildflowers everywhere!
The Mist
When we arrived at Creux du Van, the entire valley and most of the mountain was blanketed in clouds.
The Last Step
If you’re not careful, this could be your last step!
Dangling
Of course we have a shot of our feet dangling down into the void.
Non-Urban Sprawl
Green, green, green as far as the eyes can see!
The Wall
This view really captures the immensity of the wall, with the pine trees on top as a good reference point.
