For the final day of our Lake Constance/Bodensee trip, we hopped on the ferry from Konstanz to Meersburg.
Meersburg is a cool little town, but only worth stopping if you’re looping it in with a lakeside drive around Constance or if you’re hopping off the ferry.
Another close stop worth seeing is the Pile Dwelling Museum, pretty interesting structures for a German lake!
From here we head north to see the Hohenzollern Castle before pointing our noses toward home.
Leaving Konstanz
The view off the stern of the ferry as we ride from Konstanz to Meersburg.
Monster Leaves
We’re not sure what this plant is, but those leaves are amazing.
Pile Dwelling Museum
These stilt building look like they belong in the tropics, not in Germany!
Church With a View
The view out over vineyards and Lake Constance from the Wallfahrtskirche.
Wall Fart Church
With a name like Wallfahrtskirche, it must be a smelly place inside…
Schloss Heiligenberg
Unfortunately the schloss was closed due to COVID, but it’s impressive nonetheless.
