The Bear Creek Trail is a very popular trail that leads right out of Telluride. Not the trail you want to pick if you’re looking for some solitude!
A relatively easy 4.5 mile out-and-back with a very nice waterfall and great views of the surrounding mountains. Some recent avalanche damage adds to the oohs and aahs for those not accustomed to remnants of the mountain winter.
We enjoyed the hike despite the throngs of people – some gabbing nonstop at high volume, others playing music on their bluetooth boomboxes. I guess nature isn’t that interesting…

Stack Em Up

Stack Em Up
It’s not a perfect photo, but it’s yet another example of Mother Nature’s awesome power – layers and layers of aspen and pine trees stacked on top of each other from an avalanche.

So many photos have been taken here that I thought I’d light up a colorful one from a high vantage point that most others don’t climb up to.
