What started as a random hike pulled from Wikiloc turned out to be a beautiful late spring day.
67 degrees and sunny is ideal for a mix of forest and city.
With trails, an old castle, and a mostly charming German village to explore, our Sundays seem to just disappear!
Easy Two Track
After starting out with a bunch of vertical, it’s nice to have super easy two-track where you can walk and chat without having to watch your footing the entire time.
The Woods
We also love the singletrack! The leaf bed footing was some of the thickest we’ve seen anywhere.
Bad Liebenzell
Even with the modernization and the traffic, it’s still a charming German village.
Through the Burg
Walkway around the edge of Burg Liebenzell
The Exit
Stepping out into the sunlight.
Cobblestones
A narrow cobblestone alley coming down from Burg Liebenzell to the village.
Fairy Tale
A fairy tale shot of Burg Liebenzell above the Stadtsee (city lake). This is Germany.
Black Swans
I never even knew these existed!
Google Earth Track
The usual Google Earth visual of today’s fun
