Italy’s Amalfi Coast is a hotbed for the well-heeled crowd and tourists seeking a slice of the colorful good life.
With it’s colorful towns and gorgeous Mediterranean backdrop, it’s worth a week on anyone’s bucket list.
We chose to hire a driver to get us from Sorrento to Positano, and then from Positano to Ravello – and it was worth every penny. Between the narrow windy roads and the crazy local drivers, the chance of banging up a rental car is just too high. We decided to brave the city bus from Ravello to Salerno, and it was also a great experience living like a local.

Play Day

Play Day
The clouds cleared off long enough for us to get out and make a play day. The Marina di Praia is set in a tiny cove in Priaino, and is completely packed in the summer. Since we hit it in shoulder season, we saw maybe 2 other tourists along with a whole host of workers painting and getting ready for high season.
